Business drivers: how to deal with uncertain scenario
You can introduce a notion of alternate scenario in the project if the dates or impacts of one (or more) driver is uncertain.
For example: if you are not sure about the start date of a driver.
The best way to handle this situation is as follows:
Create the different alternate scenarios
1. Create two or three alternative scenarios
Go to Business needs > Business scenarios
Click on the [+] button to create a new driver
Either create a scenario from scratch or copy an existing one
Duplicate the uncertain driver
2. Create the uncertain driver and duplicate it
Create a first version of the driver with a specific start date with rules that have a timeline relative to this start date
Duplicate this driver and modify the start date by editing the duplicated driver: the timeline of the rules will move with this new start date.
