How to differentiate target skill levels by year / quarter / month ?

You can define differente target skill levels for each required skill by year / quarter / month depending on the time granularity of the project.

This allows you to reflect how skill needs are expected to evolve over time.

To do so, follow the next steps :

1. Activate the feature in the project settings

Go to Project settings > Global settings > Skills.

In the "Feature activation" section" activate the option "Target skill levels differentiated by year / quarter / month".

Once activated, you will be able to define different target levels for each projection point of your project.

2. Assess the targets for each period of time

Go to Business needs > Skill needs.

Create a new Skill Driver or select an existing one.

Within the Skill Driver, you can create or edit a rule to define the skills and target levels required for a specific scope.

To learn more about the skill drivers and the rules creation, click here.

When you open a rule, a table will display the required skills and a column for each projection point of the project.

Click Edit at the bottom right of the table to assess or modify the target level for each skill and each period.

Once you have defined the target levels for all the skills included in the rule, click Save to keep your changes.
