What are demographic hypotheses?

Demographic hypotheses are needed to determine the demographic forecasts. There are two main types of hypotheses:

• Natural leaving hypotheses, to determine the rate of random leavings which are not the result of the company decision (such as resignation, death, disability, etc.)

• Pension scheme hypotheses, to determine the expected number of retired employees at the end of each year
